It appears that the wheels of Perez’s galactico project have firmly been put in motion, with reports in Spain suggesting a deal to bring Kaka to the Bernabeu is all but done. If so, this would break the world record transfer fee set during Perez’s last stint in the Bernabeu.
It is almost certain that Kaka is not the only galactico who will arrive at the Bernabeu this summer. Reports in Spain claim Perez has already a personal agreement in place with Ribery, so he could be the next arrival in Madrid.
Moves for David Villa and David Silva are also likely, but it has been reported Chelsea have made a €45million bid for Villa and Perez is unlikely to match that valuation. The only hope is that the player himself has expressed a desire to remain in Spain so this could play a part in the transfer. Meanwhile, David Silva has stated it’s “an honour” to be linked with Real, but he is also being followed by Juventus and Liverpool.
Xabi Alonso is another target of Perez, but with Liverpool having lost out on the signing of Gareth Barry, his future remains uncertain.
Finally, there is constant speculation linking Ronaldo with a move to Real Madrid. It is widely believed there is an agreement between player and club to bring the player to the Bernabeu, with Real having to forfeit €30 million to the player if they fail to sign him from Manchester United. However, it is unlikely Perez will be willing to pay the €80million signing fee initially agreed, and will surely be trying to reduce this.
